This is an extremely rare pair of Mississippian trilobites. These are Ameropiltonia lauradanae from the Mississippian of Missouri. This genus of trilobite has many pustules exhibited over the entire exoskeleton. There are two complete, outstretched examples on the slab. The prone bugs are very well preserved, showcasing the distinct ornamentation beautifully. The dark brown color of the trilobites contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The trilobites are well centered on the rectangular limestone plate. This is a rare NATURAL double plate of this highly uncommon trilobite from the Mississippian.
