This is a very displayable spiny trilobite. It is a large Leonaspis sp. from Morocco. This amazing specimen was prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. This Leonaspis has a free-standing occipital spine, with the genal spines and pleural spines very symmetrical. The trilobite has very fine detail preserved on the exoskeleton. The bug is very 3-dimensional, showcasing the trilobite on the sculpted limestone block. This is a museum quality Leonaspis that simply displays beautifully.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
