This is fine specimen of a very sought-after trilobite. It is a large, UNRESTORED Huntoniatonia (Huntonia) lingulifer from our trilobite lease in Oklahoma. This specimen is outstretched and nicely articulated. The trilobite has beautiful natrual coloration and very fine detail - note the compound eye facets. Both the trilobite and the matrix have been expertly prepared to make for a super display fossil. Oh, did I forget to mention the tail? This specimen has a very unusual, almost vertical tailspine, which made the specimen very hard to photograph. Most H. lingulifer tailspines are on the same flat plane that the outstretched trilobite follows. This spine points to the sky! This is a very collectible trilobite that could prove that Huntonia DID use its tailspine for defense.
