Here is an extremely displayable trilobite. This is a beautiful Paralejurus rehamnanus from the Devonian of Morocco. This remarkable specimen has been meticulously prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado, as are all of our Moroccan trilobites. This trilobite has short genal spines, unlike Paralejurus hamlagdadicus. This unusual Scutellid trilobite is extremely inflated and wonderfully articulated. Both free cheeks are intact, and the large eyes are easily seen. The slightly contraflexed bug exhibits very fine detail. But the bug really comes to life when you look at the preparation. The fossil has been prepared so that it is elevated high above the plane of the matrix.The head and genal spines have been sculpted so that both are free of matrix - perched above the rock on a pedestal. This is a beautifully prepared specimen of Paralejurus rehamnanus.
