This is probably THE classic US trilobite. It is a large Elrathia kingi from Utah. This specimen was found by Steve Hess in 2005. This is probably the most prolific, and most famous, trilobite in the world. This distinct specimen is a beautiful single trilobite showcased on a large plate of shale. The beautiful bug is complete with both free cheeks intact and tight. The black trilobite is well presenteded on the block, and contrasts very well with the lighter grey matrix. This is a very displayable example of a large, individual Elrathia.
