Here is an extremely large specimen of Reedops deckeri from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. This prone trilobite is nicely inflated and exhibits very good detail. The very fine pustules covering the thick-shelled exoskeleton are intact, and the individual lenses of the large compound eyes are easily seen. The caramel-colored bug contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The fossil is beautifully positioned on the very large block of sculpted Haragan limestone. This is a hard-to-miss specimen of Reedops from the Devonian of Oklahoma.
