Here is an excellent specimen of an enrolled Asaphus (Neoasaphus) punctatus from the Ordovician of Russia. This large trilobite is extremely well articulated and is almost perfectly enrolled. The bug is quite inflated and very symmetrical in appearance. Note the large, stalked eyes - a defining feature of this species. The rich, caramel-brown color of the trilobite is fully natural. This is a textbook example of this classic stalk-eyed trilobite in enrolled form.
