This is a very nice, outstretched specimen of Paciphacops campbelli from the Devonian of Oklahoma. This trilobite was recently acquired from the famous Sam Stubbs Collection. The trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The individual lenses of the eyes are easily seen. The glabella displays the granulose texture typical of the species. The 3-dimensional bug has very thick exoskeleton. The dark caramel-brown color of the trilobite contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. The fossil is well positioned on the large semi-rectangular block of limestone. This is a very pretty Paciphacops campbelli from the Stubbs Collection.
