This is a large example of a very uncommon trilobite. It is a complete Eudolatites sp. from the Ordovician Selenopeltis Beds of Morocco. This specimen was recently acquired from the famous Sam Stubbs Collection. The trilobite is well over six inches long - large by any standards. The detail is nice, especially for a trilobite preserved in sandstone. The bug is extremely inflated and 3-D, and displays beautifully on the small, oval matrix plate. This is a distinct example of this unusual type from the Stubbs Collection.
