This is an unusual Russian trilobite. It is a large specimen of Hatangia scita from Siberia. This trilobite was recently acquired from the famous Sam Stubbs Collection. The trilobite is complete and very nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The bug exhibits fine detail - the eyes of the trilobite are quite evident, and the individual segments of the thorax are easily seen. The fossil has good color and contrast and is nicely centered on the natural matrix plate. This is a beautiful example of Hatangia scita from the Stubbs Collection.
