This is a very rare trilobite. It is an enrolled Dalmanites rutellum from the Arbuckle Mountains of Oklahoma. This specimen is complete, which is extremely unusual. The head is very inflated and has excellent detail - the large compound eye facets are practically flawless. The rest of the bug is also very detailed, and the tail even has part of the classic caudal tailspine intact. The bug is beautifully perched on its sculpted limestone base. This is a very uncommon, complete example of one of the most sought-after trilobites from the Henryhouse Formation.
