This is great example of an unusual Olenellid trilobite. It is a fabulous Nephrolenellus geniculatus from Nevada. This specimen was recently acquired from the famous Sam Stubbs Collection. This type has a very wide head, no tailspine, and large third segment pleurons that taper into long spines. This specimen showcases these features beautifully. This trilobite is nicely centered on the large matrix plate. This is a very fine example of this unusual Lower Cambrian bug from the Stubbs Collection.
