This is a rare US trilobite. It is a large, complete Alokistocare sp. from the Elrathia Layers of Millard County, Utah. This specimen was recently acquired from the famous Sam Stubbs Collection. The trilobite is beautifully articulated and complete down to the tiny pygidium, which is extremely unusual. The free cheeks are present and tightly attached, and the large eyes are even intact. The thick shell exoskeleton is wonderfully preserved, with small bumps and pustules scattered about the surface. The orange-brown trilobite is nicely displayed on the light pink matrix plate. This is one of the best specimens from the ''Red Beds'' that we've seen - it is a beautiful example of this multi-segmented trilobite from the Stubbs Collection.
