This is an excellent specimen of Cheirurus (Crotalocephalina) gibbus from the Devonian of Morocco. This specimen was recently acquired from the famous Sam Stubbs Collection. The trilobite is complete and beautifully articulated. The bug is wonderfully inflated and almost perfectly outstretched. The fossil exhibits very fine detail - even the small eyes are quite distinct. The free cheeks are intact, and the pygidial spines are very easy to see. The pleurons of the trilobite terminate in sharp points. The trilobite has beautiful natural coloration and contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. The trilobite is well centered on the natural-edged block of limestone, which has been sculpted in a unique ''postage stamp'' pattern. This is a extremely fine specimen of Cheirurus from the Stubbs Collection.
