Here is an excellent Lower Cambrian trilobite. This is a very fine specimen of Olenellus gilberti from Nevada. This trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits extremely fine detail. The crescent-shaped eyes are easily seen and the long, sweeping pleural spines are clearly defined and beautifully displayed. The tailspine is present, pointing off to the left. The bug is well positioned on the semi-rectangular plate of shale. This is a very aesthetic Olenellid trilobite from the Lower Cambrian of the Western United States.
