This is a distinct example of an uncommon US trilobite. It is a very fine Breviphillipsia sampsoni from the Chouteau Formation of Missouri. As everyone knows, complete Mississippian trilobites are quite rare. The bug is extremely inflated and beautifully articulated, which is quite rare. The exoskeleton is well preserved with the many pustules wonderfully displayed. The fossil has fine natural color and contrast, and is nicely showcased on the large matrix plate. This is an excellent example of an elusive trilobite from the ''Age of the Crinoids''.
