Here is a HUGE example of a very rare Cambrian trilobite. This is Marjumia typa from the Marjum Formation of Utah. This type is one of the most sought-after, and most elusive, of all the classic Utah trilobites. This wonderfully articulated specimen is complete, with both free cheeks intact and tight, which is extremely rare. The distinct spines on the pygidium are very easily seen. The dark brownish-black trilobite contrasts nicely with the greyish matrix. The bug is beautifully prepared and well presented on the large block of limestone. And the trilobite is almost three and a half inches long - one of the largest on record! This is an extremely collectible example of this rarely-seen trilobite from Utah.
