Here is a trilobite that is very hard to find complete - especially in this condition. This is a beautiful Olenellus fowleri from the Lower Cambrian of Nevada. This type of Olenellus is very wide with long, sweeping pleural spines and an opisthothorax comprised of many, many segments. This specimen has great color and exhibits excellent detail - the incredible opisthothorax is wonderfully displayed, and the LONG telson (tailspine) is also intact, which is EXTREMELY unusual. The bug is nicely showcased on the large plate of matrix. This is one of the most complete examples we have seen of this rare species of Olenellus.
