This is simply a beautiful Phacops trilobite. It is a sculpted Phacops speculator from Morocco. The rock has been professionally extracted from around the trilobite, giving the appearance it is floating in mid-air! The large limestone base, too, has been expertly sculpted. The trilobite is super clean, and the compound eye facets are excellent. The detail is fabulous - the pustules on the exoskeleton are very easily seen. And the natural coloration is quite an eye opener. This is one trilobite that has character, and displays it beautifully.
