This is a diminutive Phacops speculator from Morocco. This complete trilobite is extremely inflated and wonderfully articulated. It has been prepared so that it sits above the plane of the surrounding rock. The trilobite is preserved in an outstretched position and displays nicely on the rock. The natural, dark color of the bug contrasts well with the lighter-colored matrix. This is a very fine specimen of a tiny Phacops speculator.
