This is a top quality enrolled trilobite. It is a beautiful Reedops cephalotes hamlagdadianus from Morocco. This specimen is large, an inch and a quarter wide. The thick shell exoskeleton is beautifully preserved, and the natural coloration is easily seen. The compound eyes are large and intact, and the faceted lenses are simply awesome. The detail of the bug is absolutely fabulous, and it is natural to the matrix base - it has never been popped out! This is a very fine enrolled example of this underappreciated Moroccan trilobite.
