This is a very unusual trilobite plate. It is a multiple plate of Redlichia takooensis from Australia. These trilobites need a permit to be exported from Australia, and we obtained this specimen from a legal source. The plate pictured is a matching split pair - a part and counterpart, if you will. The "part" half of the specimen has three essentially complete trilobites and numerous partials. All three complete bugs have at least part of their axial spines intact, which is VERY rare. The trilobites have a beautiful pinkish-orange natural coloration and contrast well with the darker matrix block. And the counterpart of the plate (top) is even included as a bonus. This is an extremely prolific slab of trilobites from this classic Australian locality.
