This is a wonderful spiny trilobite. It is a beautiful Kettneraspis williamsi from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. This specimen was found by Steve Hess in 1997 and just now prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. This outstretched trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits excellent detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The long genal spines and the thin pleural spines are beautifully displayed. The protruding eyes are easily seen, and the ''fringes'' of the free cheeks are clearly defined. The inflated bug has great color and contrast and is well centered on the rectangular plate of matrix. This is a fabulous specimen of Kettneraspis from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma.
