This is a fine fossil trilobite. It is a distinct Phacops speculator from the Devonian of Morocco. This trilobite is well articulated and extremely 3-dimensional. The robust bug is nicely prone and exhibits great detail. The granulose nature of the large glabella is clearly defined, and the large, compound eyes are wonderfully preserved. Almost all of the individual lenses are intact and easily seen. The trilobite has nice natural color and contrast and is well centered on the sculpted plate of dense limestone. This is a very displayable specimen of Phacops speculator from Morocco.
