Here is an unusual trilobite specimen from the Edward Books Collection. There is a fine example of Zacanthoides idahoensis on this plate. This piece is from the Spence Shale of Utah and was found many years ago. The trilobite is well articulated and exhibits fabulous detail. Both free cheeks are intact and tightly attached, which is extremely unusual. The trilobite is nicely presented on the somewhat rectangular plate of shale. This is a rare specimen of a complete Zacanthoides from an old collection.
