Here is a HUGE Russian trilobite. This is Pseudoasaphus sp. from the Ordovician Layers near St. Petersburg. This trilobite is simply HUGE - almost SIX INCHES LONG! The ancient arthropod is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The individual thoracic segments and the large eyes are clearly defined. The caramel-colored trilobite contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. The fossil is beautifully centered on the large, natural plate of sculpted limestone. This is the largest, most impressive Pseudoasaphus we have ever heard of come out of Russia.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
