This is a very impressive trilobite. It is a spiny Quadrops flexuosa from Morocco. This specimen required meticulous preparation under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab (it takes longer to prepare a Quadrops than almost any other trilobite in the world.) Quadrops is one of the spiniest and most prized trilobites in the world. This distinctive specimen boasts over 40 free-standing spines, and the famous four-pronged snout is has been prepared free-standing - WOW! The long genal, pleural, and pygidial spines are also beautifully preserved. The detail is excellent, and the natural coloration is strikingly beautiful. And again, just look at those spines! This is one trilobite that will definitely get a second look in any collection.
