This is a very displayable specimen of Scabriscutellum furciferum from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite is preserved in a 3-dimensional manner and exhibits very fine detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached, and the eyes of this ancient arthropod are beautifully displayed. The pleurons terminate in sharp points, and the coarse ribs of the large pygidium are easily seen. But the most distinct feature of this trilobite is that the entire head has been prepared free of matrix! (hard to tell in photo.) Also, the ''crawling off the rock'' pose of the bug is very appealing. This is simply a beautifully prepared Scabriscutellum from Morocco.
