This is an excellent spiny trilobite. It is a large Long-Horned Kettneraspis from Morocco. This bug has great natural color and very fine detail. The pleural spines are extremely long, and the fine fringes on the free cheeks are easily seen. The stalked eyes and long occipital ''horn'' were all prepared free-standing. And the way the bug lays on the sculpted matrix plate is simply beautiful. This is a very collectible example of this ''showy'' Odontopleurid trilobite - extremely hard-to-find in this condition.
