Here is a natural specimen of Cheirurus (Crotalocephalina) (=Crotalocephalus) gibbus from the Devonian of Morocco. This large trilobite is extremely 3-dimensional and nicely preserved. The bug is outstretched and exhibits good detail. The small eyes are quite distinct, and the spiny tail is easily seen. The triangular pleurons terminate into points, and the pygidial spines are intact and clearly defined. The trilobite has unique, natural coloration and contrasts nicely with the block of sculpted limestone. And part of the large hypostoma (mouthplate) is even exposed. This is a very affordable example of this odd-looking trilobite from Morocco.
