Here is a very well-prepared specimen of Zlichovaspis rugosa from the Devonian of Morocco. This trilobite is complete and wonderfully articulated. The bug is preserved in a 3-dimensional manner and exhibits great detail. The large, crescent-shaped eyes are easily seen - and many of the individual lenses are clearly defined. The long, broad genal spines and the short caudal spine are nicely displayed. The pointed snout and cephalic brim have been prepared in a free-standing manner - quite cool! The fossil has excellent, brown to black coloration and contrasts beautifully with the light-colored matrix. The bug is well showcased on the sculpted plate of limestone. This is a very aesthetic example of Zlichovaspis rugosa from Morocco.
