This is a beautiful plate of unusual spiny trilobites. There are two large ''Devil-Horned'' Cyphaspis on the slab. This amazing fossil was expertly prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. You can easily see how these trilobites got their demonic nickname - they both have a pair of spiny ''horns'' growing out of their heads. Both Cyphaspis specimens have been prepared with these ''Devil Horns'' free-standing, as well as the genal spines and the long axial spines. Although one trilobite is missing its tail, its spiny armament is still fully intact. Both bugs are extremely detailed and display beautifully. And this is a natural double - both specimens are preserved as they were when they were buried millions of years ago. This is a very collectible multiple plate of this ''devilish'' spiny trilobite.
