Here is a wonderful trilobite trace fossil. It is a LONG trilobite trackway from the Mississippian of Indiana. This specimen is extremely long and has outstanding detail. You can easily see how the legs of the trilobite pushed up ridges of mud as the trilobite meandered along the sea floor bottom. The trackway is well presented on the large, natural plate of matrix. This is one of the longest and most distinctive trackways that we have ever seen. No trilobite collection is complete without a trilobite trackway, especially one like this.
