This is a very large enrolled trilobite. It is a beautiful Drotops megalomanicus from Morocco. This type is one of the most impressive enrolled trilobites in the world. This specimen is a full three inches wide, and almost six inches long around the curve. The thick shell exoskeleton is beautifully preserved, and the off-white highlights are fully natural. The trilobite is completely enrolled, tight head-to-tail, which is extremely unusual. The compound eyes are large and intact, and the many faceted lenses are very easily seen. The detail of the bug is absolutely fabulous, and its very large size is quite impressive. This is a spectacular enrolled example of this massive Moroccan trilobite.
