This is a nice Bumastus ioxus from the Rochester Shale of New York. This trilobite is complete and very 3-dimensional. The bug is quite prone and nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present, which is somewhat unusual. The brown trilobite contrasts well with the grey matrix. The fossil is nicely presented on the semi-squared plate of shale. This is a fine example of this classic Silurian trilobite.
