This is very collectible Proetid trilobite. It is a large Cornuproetus cornutus from Morocco. This specimen is HUGE for a Cornuproetus - one and a half inches long! But it is not only big, it is fabulous! The detail is excellent, and the thick shell exoskeleton is beautifully preserved. The bug is extremely well-articulated and outstretched, and the genal spines are long and extend almost to the pygidium! We cannot stress enough how much bigger this specimen is than most of the other Cornuproetus we've seen. This is a great example of this very underrated trilobite from Morocco.
