This is an extremely displayable Russian trilobite. It is a spectacular Hoplolichoides furcifer from St. Petersburg, Russia. This is one of the rarer and more sought-after types of trilobites from Russia, and it is a beauty! The bug is fully complete, wonderfully articulated, and nicely displayed. The Hoplolichoides has been prepared with the horns and body spines free-standing. The thick shell exoskeleton is covered with large pustules and tiny spines. The compound eye facets are excellent and can even be seen with the naked eye! The trilobite seems to be crawling across the sculpted matrix plate. This specimen is easily one of the most displayable examples of this type we have had.
