Here is a very beautiful multiple plate of professionally-prepared trilobites. These bugs are Onnia superba from the Ordovician Ktaoua Limestone of Morocco. This Trinucleid trilobite has a very inflated glabella and a cephalic brim with rows and rows of pits. The genal spines are extremely long, and there is a distinct occipital spine emanating from the back of the cephalon. A very short, wide triangular pygidium is characteristic of this particular trilobite.
There are three wonderfully detailed specimens on this plate (one is extremely large, and, yes, his right genal spine is intact and just as long as the left one). All three bugs are quite inflated and 3-D. The trilobites have great natural color and contrast extremely well with the light-colored matrix. The fossils are aesthetically spaced (natural, no compositing) on the sculpted limestone block. This is a great multiple display plate of the classic Ordovician trilobite, Onnia superba.
