You may have seen a Dalmanites before, but a natural double is quite rare. This is a a pair of Dalmanites limulurus from New York State. This plate is HUGE and fully natural - they lay on the rock exactly where they died millions of years ago. The bugs are nicely spaced on the large plate, which makes for an aesthetic display. Both trilobites are well preserved, and there is even a partial Calymene on the slab. This is a monster Dalmanites display plate, a fair-sized chunk of the Silurian sea floor.
