Here is an unusual fossil. This is a pair of enrolled Kainops raymondi from the Devonian of Oklahoma. These 3-dimensional trilobites are almost perfectly enrolled and nicely articulated. The trilobites exhibits fine detail - the individual facets of the eyes and the pustulose glabella are quite evident. The dark bugs contrast wonderfully with the buff-colored matrix and are well presented on the rectangular plate of limestone that also contains a distinct gastropod. This is a very nice display block of a Devonian sea floor bottom.
