Here is a very interesting plate of fossils from the Mississippian of Missouri. There are three fine examples of Evactinopora, a star-shaped bryozoan, a solitary coral, a brachiopod, and a trilobite tail on the slab. The fossils are quite 3-dimensional and exhibit fine detail. The points on the bryozoans are easily seen. The trilobite part (Phillipsia sp.) is the only piece of a trilobite we have ever seen from this formation. The fossils have good color and contrast and are nicely positioned on the plate of maroon-colored limestone. This is a fine multiple example of this strange bryozoan, trilobite part, and other fossils from the Fern Glen Formation.
