This is a rare Ordovician association piece. It is a fabulous pair of Flexicalymene granulosa from the Ordovician of Canada. These trilobites are very 3-dimensional and almost perfectly prone. The bugs have extremely thick exoskeleton and exhibit fine detail. The glabellas of the trilobites are covered with a multitude of fine pustules, and the large ''shovel lips'' are quite distinct. The brown-black trilobites contrast nicely with the grey matrix block. The Flexies are well presented on the natural plate of limestone that also contains a small Isotelus tail. This is a textbook multiple example of Flexicalymene granulosa from Canada.
