Here is a fine example of Asaphiscus wheeleri from the Cambrian of Utah. This colorful trilobite is fully complete and very well articulated. Both free cheeks are present, which is quite unusual. The bug exhibits very fine detail - the eyes are easily seen, and the individual thoracic segments are clearly defined. The large, somewhat smooth pygidium is also fully intact. This reddish-brown trilobite has beautiful, thick exoskeleton that contrasts strikingly with the yellow and pink matrix. The bug is wonderfully showcased on the squared plate of shale. This is an very nice Asaphiscus wheeleri trilobite from the famous ''Red Beds''.
