This is a classic spiny trilobite. It is a juvenile Dicranurus hamatus elegantus from Oklahoma. This type is one of the most sought-after trilobites from Oklahoma. This specimen was found on our trilobite lease in Oklahoma, and prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. This is a baby Dike - the smallest complete one we have ever seen. The bug is nicely outstretched, with both ''horns'' prepared free-standing. Both free cheeks are intact, along with the tail, although not perfectly articulated. But the body spines are LONG and quite impressive. This is a rare sub-adult example of this collectible spiny trilobite.
