This is a very nice specimen of Modocia typicalis from the Cambrian of Utah. The trilobite is beautifully articulated and exhibits very fine detail. The free cheeks are intact and tightly attached. The pleurons terminate in spines that become progressively longer as they near the pygidium. The striking red color of the trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the pinkish matrix. The trilobite is well centered on the squared plate of shale. This is a very fine specimen of Modocia typicalis.
