Here is a beautiful trilobite. This is a massive Pseudoasaphus sp. from the Ordovician of Russia. This collectible trilobite is almost perfectly prone and extremely inflated. The bug is wonderfully articulated and exhibits very fine detail. The individual thoracic segments and the large eyes are clearly defined. The caramel-colored trilobite contrasts quite nicely with the light-colored matrix. The fossil is beautifully centered on the large, natural plate of sculpted limestone. And at over four and a half inches long, this is a beast of a bug! This is a very impressive example of this unusual, thimble-eyed Pseudoasaphus trilobite.
