This is a very displayable specimen of Crotalocephalus gibbus from the Devonian of Morocco. This large specimen was meticulously prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. This trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits incredible detail. The very small eyes are easily seen, and the short genal spines are clearly defined. The triangular pleurons terminate in sharp points, and the upswept pygidial spines are fully intact. The 3-dimensional bug has fantastic natural color and contrast and is beautifully showcased on the sculpted block of dense limestone. This is a stunning example of this distinctive trilobite.
