Here is a fine example of Asaphiscus wheeleri from the Cambrian of Utah. This trilobite is complete and very well articulated. The bug exhibits very fine detail - both free cheeks are present and tightly attached, which is quite unusual. This dark brown trilobite has beautiful, thick exoskeleton that contrasts strikingly with the light brown matrix. The bug is wonderfully centered on the rectangular plate of colorful shale. This is a very nice Asaphiscus wheeleri with free cheeks intact.
