This is a very fine specimen of Cheirurus (Crotalocephalina) (=Crotalocephalus) gibbus from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite is wonderfully preserved in an outstretched position. The bug is extremely 3-dimensional and wonderfully articulated. The ancient arthropod exhibits very fine detail - the small eyes are easily seen, and the pointed pleurons and pygidial spines are all intact. The trilobite has beautiful, natural color and nice contrast. It is well presented on the block of dense limestone. This is an attractive example of this odd-looking trilobite.
