Here is an excellent specimen of a now-rare trilobite. This is Asaphus expansus from the Ordovician of Sweden. This beautifully outstretched trilobite is extremely robust and nicely articulated. The bug has very thick exoskeleton and exhibits fine detail. The individual thoracic segments are clearly defined, and all of the pleuron tips are intact, which is extremely unusual. The trilobite has outstanding brown color and contrasts beautifully with the block of green-grey matrix. This is a very collectible FULLY COMPLETE example of this classic trilobite from Sweden.
